*SCAM ALERT: It has come to our attention that book clubs and literary journals have lately become venues where scammers pose as organization hosts to sell empty event time and non-existent print anthologies to unsuspecting authors, and this saddens and angers us. Please, if you are a writer, be aware that legitimate book clubs will not charge authors to host them at events and legitimate journals will not charge authors to be part of an anthology. The Nomad Review does not host events, nor do we produce print magazine/anthologies, so please never send money to anyone claiming to promote your work this way in our name (or in the name of any other literary organization without serious vetting). We are sorry to have to post this notice, and that anyone would attempt to take advantage of a working artist in this way.
Submission Update:
Dear Beloved Readers and Writers,
Due to unforeseen circumstances, The Nomad Review will need to take an operational hiatus during the 2026-7 submission cycle. This means that we will not be reading submissions or awarding prizes between May 2026 and May 2027. All previously accepted work will still be published, but we will not consider accepting any new work until June of 2027.
We apologize for any disappointment this may cause, and we thank you for your patience as we navigate the logistics of the contemporary nonprofit literary journal landscape! Please feel free to check our submissions page at any time for updates.
All Best,
The Editors
